Written while standing in line for my first ride on the Na’vi River Journey at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

I hear silence underneath noise.

Stood in this queue when there’s life, and there’s void.

The trash, a job.

Happiness, responsibility.

Na’vi River Journey.

It’s like night and day.

Two worlds where I’m master and servant simultaneously.

All that I’ve seen can’t be unseen.

I’ve seen it all and also nothing.

Mystical sounds play all around me.

Fans, birds, and the sound of a Banshee.

Parties of one, friends, and family.

When we stand in this line we are in unity.

We share a goal to ride the ride.

There’s another one we share called life.

We do the best we can.

Wait for it to begin, not sure where it ends.

Starts at the front, the very beginning.

This is a journey worth undertaking.

Slow-moving and vibrant, how life should be.

We’re all in a rush. Even at times, I’m guilty.

A gentle flow, a calming stream.

Record it; ironically, you’ll miss everything.

Live in the moment, that much I know.

Be there completely, wherever you go.

Feel the music. Feel the song.

How soon we forget it was ours all along.

This is usually the part where I’m supposed to promote myself. I’m just glad this found you because I believe, for whatever reason, it was meant to. If you’d like to check out my other work, follow, comment, or share, that’s entirely up to you. I promise we can still be friends either way :) Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you enjoyed my words!
